PUBLIC ORGANIZATIONS CAPACITY BUILDING IN EXPANDING POPULATION COVERAGE BY HIV CONSULTING AND TESTING.

On June 7-8 2018, a regular workshop of public organizations providing community based HIV testing and counseling services to key populations in the Republic of Tajikistan will be held in Khudjand.

During the first day, participants of the meeting will be informed about the most important events of the National Program to Counteract the HIV / AIDS Epidemic in the Republic of Tajikistan for the period 2017-2020 and achievements in the sphere of HIV testing and counseling services implementation in Tajikistan.

On the second day, group and individual sessions will be held to train practical skills in organizing pre-test counseling and rapid HIV testing. Specialists of the Republican Center on Prevention and Control of AIDS will introduce the mechanism of information exchange and client management with HIV diagnosis established by the joint efforts of NGOs and AIDS Centers to the public organizations employees.

The Republican Public Organization "AFEW-Tajikistan" organizes the event in cooperation with the Republican AIDS Center under the project "Bridging the Gaps: Health and Rights for Key Populations -2.0", funded by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Netherlands.
